Hello. "Whispering In The Wind" has a lot to address that is explicitly written in it, and we don't have endless amounts of the author's time. One individual's posts to the authors may take only 1 - 20 minutes to read and understand and reply to, 20 individual's posts may take 20 to 400 minutes to read and reply to. Add replies from individuals to the authors replies, and the authors have to spend 40-800, to 60-1200 minutes ... minutes to read, understand and reply to every post directed to them. now add on more than 20 individuals.... I believe that the authors would prefer discussion here to focus on "Whispering In The Wind", let's honor their intention when posting to them. Here are my suggestions for posts to the authors: (1) request the author's attention in the titles of the posts, writing "to Mr. Grinder and Ms. Bostic St Claire...", or "for John & Carmen, about ...". Also, (a) keep the message brief and to-the-point. (2) post about "Whispering In the Wind" and its contents, referring to page numbers and paragraphs or footnotes whereever possible. (3)If you want the authors to address information that contradicts what they wrote in "Whispering In The Wind", refer to a section, page number, paragraph, or sentence from the book, and also: (a) voice the contradicting opinion in your own words. (b) defend your contradicting opinion yourself, don't refer the authors to outside reading material. (c) keep your post brief. (d) if you want to quote a source, quote all the information you need to support your point. (4) To select what to post from questions, compliments, and your opinions, combine your compliments with any book_content_related questions you can think of, checking that you follow a procedure as in (1) & (2). If you have contradictory opinions to present, check that you are following a procedure as in (1) and (3). DON'T just post about whatever you want and hope the authors reply. The surest way to honor what the authors are doing for us is to ask the authors to reply to our questions about the contents of "Whispering In The Wind" . -nj |
