No worries.

You are correct about the Erickson quote - my memory of the sense of it is (although I am certain that there are some word differences),

Although this work is far from a complete description of what I do, it is a far better explanation of what I do than I myself can give.

I have no idea what Erickson might have been referring to but there are a large number of things from my perspective that Erickson did (and very effectively) that failed to seize my interest enough to model them. Two categories come to mind:

1. extended chains woven essentially out of the distinctions Bandler and I coded in the two volume series Patterns of the Hypnotic Techniques of Milton H. Erickson. M.D.

2. value biases that I found over the line with respect to content.

Please appreciate that my remarks offer here are intended to be descriptive and matters of taste, preference and possibly ethics rather than judgments about their inherent worth. Erickson was a master of communication effective to the unconscious - exquisitely so.
