Well said. I would like to add to that final comment about art, that Dada/Conceptual artist Marcel Duchamp -- whom some say was the most influential western artist of the 20th century -- said something about how he could only do the work he did, and have the ideas he had, because he continually transformed from male to female and back again, at a very high and immeasurable rate. I believe he meant more or less the same thing, as well as his taking an alternative perceptual position in his identity as Rose Selavy, the feminine alter-ego he often assumed and was photographed as. best, John |
