Lewis, "Your presupposition is that these practitioners (medical, psychiatric or otherwise) are more keen to make money than help patients get better...and are therefore not interested in more effective treatment. This is the kind of unthinking drivel perpetuated by many NLP practitioners...usually directed against the US healthcare system. In the UK, the National Health Service (including psychology)is free at point of delivery...and any patient I use NLP interventions with gets it for free. " I agree that some aim for a more money making practice where they charge a lot for the change. There is however a lack of taking new methods like acupuncture who has been around now for 30 years and finnaly make it into the mainstream hospitals. I did mean that many who do practice will not do effective help if they can keep the patient longer in the system. It is a setup to do a job and then not do much more. I can not understand that tho myself ;) There is many levels of change for clients. Many who needs it a lot cant afford high level charges. It has to be some balance. I saw a documentry where a doctor had to work 12 hour shifts to pay for insurance and such to keep the job going. It is in the USA but that really hurts. /Robert |
