Richard, Until you tell us what exactly constitutes therapy, you will continue looking extremely silly. I would really like to know how exactly you distingish between good coaching, good counseling and a great conversation with a stranger? Let us know, please. One obvious distinction that comes to mind is that therapy could be viewed as making a commitment through time. Did John make a promise to see these people weekly? Is that why you consider it therapy. Do you think it is therapy just because John is using words? If he was giving out herbal teas that help change states (no words) would you consider that therapy? What if he was teaching body work? SN |
