Yah, I hope you can get a response from John too. Particularly with respect to his involvement with the kinds of experience written about by Carlos Castenada and discussed by him in Turtles.

Bandler by the way is definately influenced by George Ivanovich Gurdieff but I don't know when that interest dates from.  My evidence would be 1) his uncounscious installation patterns 2) He repeats the phrase "Welcome to Mount Analogue" in his Medicine Show tapes.  Mount Analogue is the title of one of Gurdieff's earlist published works.

Bandler also says "The Structure of Magic belongs in the Occult section of the bookshop" and is currently offering a "Shamanic States of Counsciousness" workshop so I would say he has clearly found a link.
