Hi John and Carmen I'm currently reading Turtles All The Way Down. There's a strong emphasis in there on recognising and developing Demon States and Controllers, to develop personal excellence. I'm wondering how this fits in with the High Performance states from WITW. Is the Demon States and Controllers model still relevant/useful? Has it been superseded by the High Performance states model, or does one build on the other? My guess (and it's very much a guess!) is that a High Performance state is like a high-level Controller - it has access to and can select from all your Demon States to choose the most appropriate for the current context. Am I on the right lines? Cheers, Jon |
