GSM, Does believing stop happening on an unconscious level when we enter a know-nothing state? What IS a know-nothing state? Are there no internal representations or are there no internal representations one is aware of? My contention is that the idea of a know-nothing state is much like a placebo, and just like the placebo it represents something that doesn't exist, but that is useful. best, JS |
