Greetings nj,

You write,

”Here's a question you could ask yourself right now:
(2) Who are the sentient beings effected by the ethical guidelines I follow when I look after the cats in the house I'm looking after?”
(3) Just because one event seems to someone to follow another event, that apparent contingency isn’t enough to establish a cause-effect relationship in my opinion.  Here’s a partial answer to your question, if this is a topic of continuing interest for you:
(4) Before I ask myself question (2), it might be worthwhile for me to consider (5).
(5) How would I know if sentient beings are necessarily effected by the ethical guidelines I follow when I look after the cats in the house I'm looking after?
It might also be useful for me to consider (6) in this instance.
(6) What is my evidence procedure in determining my response to the question (5)?
(7) For the sake of simplicity, I will narrow the scope of my answer to (2) to the following sentient beings,
(7.1)the three cats living in the house
(7.2)my housemate
(7.3)the owners of the house
I can now ask myself (8).
(8) Given that (7.1)-(7.3) are indeed effected by the ethical guidelines I follow and behaviorally demonstrate in the context specified above, then I might be able to achieve a satisfactory response to (9).
(9)How (specifically) are the sentient beings, specifed above, effected by the ethical guidelines that I am demonstrating behaviorally when I look after the cats in the house I’m looking after?
Now that I have considered (2)-(9), I can now reflect upon (10) and (11).
(10) "(2) The list of rules that define what you are against ARE A PRODUCT OF a process of weighing interests of those participants effected by your rules."
(11) Is this 'process of weighing interests of those...effected by your rules' always a necessarily ill-formed and distorted process involving ‘mind-reading’ semantic ill-formedness?
(12) What are some specific identifying features of any counter-examples…times in which the affirmative response to (11) is patently not the case?
(13)Is ethical therapy (content free therapy) indeed possible or is ethical behavior simply rule-governed behavior where every rule has an eventual exception?
