Hello again nj,

You asked me the following three questions:

(1) "Assuming you kept this Aibo as your pet, don't you think you might start to treat REAL dogs a bit differently, after a while?"

Yes nj, I do think that I might start to treat 'real' dogs a bit differently after a while if I were to participate in your AI experiment.  Perhaps, I would even discover myself treating these 'real' dogs even MORE ethically than I was previously.  Let us assume (just for giggles of course) that prior to my interaction with Aibo I would for example, shock my 'real' dog's testicles with a stun gun set at full jolt if it were to behave so impudently as to urinate ('god' forbid) on my persian rug.  Participation in your AI experiment provided the context to allow me to develop the behavioral choice to merely "whip its rear with a stick"!  Thanks for that.

(2)  "Want some of my facts about factory-farming, yet?"

I've provided my answer to this question to you once previously, nj...because I sometimes appreciate your digital output here it is a second time:
My desire for these facts of yours nj, is one internal process that I do not anticipate de-nominalizing at any point in the foreseeable future (no, not even with my crystal ball).  Consider my response to your question a finalized and emphatic NO.  I have read more than a few of these facts myself nj... I was persuaded by writer's (other than yourself) long ago about these issues.  'These issues' being factory farming and the scourge of the Earth (free range cattle).

(3) "are you a vegetarian?"

I am considered by some, a 'pesce vegetarian'*.  Technically this term means that I consume eggs, dairy products and seafood.  I do not eat eggs however, so the term does not technically apply to me.  Consider me a victim of uncontrolled fuzzy circuits if it floats your boat nj.  I smell or see certain types of cheeses and I am usually 'forced' to feel certain cravings.  I smell or see certain non-human sea creatures and I necessarily feel strong urges to savor their unique taste and consume them ravenously.  Following these instances, any emotional experience of guilt is a post FA, ethically (f2) transformed experience (a content imposition...an alien thought form, I insist).  Yes nj, sea creatures and dairy cows experience pain in service of the demand of my gustatory cravings.  My choice to raise my own dairy cows and goats for the purpose of making my own cheeses, while providing 'ethical' care for these non-human animals and my decision to fish, hunt and prepare wild sea creatures while using methods which contribute to the experience of less pain by the sea creature than by that which is experienced as a result of 'traditional methods' (hook in gill, boiling alive, etc.) would be more ethically satisfying for me.  At this (time)step however, I'm nowhere near being that industrious.

*'pesce vegeatarian' is defined by some as being, "just like 'lacto-ovo vegetarian' but allows the eating of fish on the basis that fish do not feel pain like other animals because their nerve endings are not very 'fine tuned'. (contributed by nora wafaai)".

I disagree with the notion that fish do not feel pain like other animals because their nerve endings are not very 'fine tuned'.  I believe that you might even have the research to back me up on this, don't you nj.  Furthermore, I allow fish-eating behavior to persist in my personal life not because of any ethical rule that I don't follow, but simply because they taste so damn delicious to me.  My immediate neurological reward for taking the action in the latter case (eating the seafood) is stronger than the immediate neurological reward for taking the action in the former case (behaving ethically, not supporting non-human abuse/neglect/torture).
