"ex NLPer" All this commentary based on attending a training; Tony Robbins "Firewalk and a whole bunch of reading. nothing more. No actual Practitioner training in NLP, and without realizing that Tony's seminar isn't a Practioner course(its not even close). As a real estate investor, if I had performed the kind of superficial "due diligence" you did and bought a rental property sight unseen based simply on what I'd read about it and it turned out unprofitable, I'd deserve everything I've gotten. There is no subsitute for the experience that a Practitioner training offers. anyone can read the books you have and potentially make the same conclusions you did. what you did was like reading all the books there are on Martial arts without taking any substantive classes and then decide that you are an "expert" on the subject sorry but you get no sympathy from me.
