I don't think it is safe to instruct you on how to proceed at this point in terms of NLP interventions. However, thanking the part and letting it know that you know it has a positive intention and that you wish to be both consciously or unconsiously open to the nature of this postive intention as you locate a safe context in which to explore this work, might be a more appropriate set of actions.  If there is a qualified NLP practioner who has good experience, I'd suggest having a conversation with him/her.
