To Poker Man

That is a great reference. Interesting coincidence as I knew Stu Unger growing up at Monticello Raceway in NY and met Stu again in Las Vegas before he won his first World Series of Poker at Binions in the 70's In Las Vegas. Poker man Stu did have strong ties with connected people by the way and was a gin rummy champ growing up in NY city. Stu also went down Freemont Street the year he won and bet $500 on himself with the bookie THAT HE WOUld win the World Series of Poker that year at 500-1 odds so Stu made 250k on that private bet plus won his 450k prize money.

Talk about being in a resource state THAT YEAR. Stu played against the worlds best at 24 years old  including Doyle Brunson and Amarillo Slim and won!
Odf course than Stu was betting 200k a game on pro football. He couldn't stop himself.
Oh well.

thanks
