Respectful of that old homily: "people living in glass houses are best advised not to throw stones", I accept that I deserved to read Earnest's message. I think his message helpful, and has helped to widen a debate, that maybe could now more appropriately take place in another thread. Thank you Berry.

Please excuse this indulgence into content. I agree with most of Earnest's dietary prescription in principle. Like him I too have studied the relevance of food to mind, and in some detail. But I want to come at this from the other end for a moment.

In the 1980s, Robert Dilts', (who received some critical attention in WITW, not all bad), spoke publicly of using NLP patterns to work with his mother who was suffering with a chronic illness. Without ever explicitly referring to 'diet' she changed her diet spontaneously according to her preferences. Her new diet strongly corresponded to the contemporary ACA guidelines. In another thread:

I came up with this definition of the unconscious based upon the text of WITW.

'Unconscious: A process of relevance extending beyond 7 + or – 2 chunks of information capable of enormously complex creative acts, when the proper framing and context have been established'

The 'frame' for Sean's message surely is in the title? 'Personal Physical Program - WITW Strategies'. What could be clearer?

I may be well out of line here from the position of sound epistemology, but I figure that someone who a) Is a trainer; b) Has already got himself off coffee; c) Is aware of this website and WITW; probably knows a little about what he would be better advised to eat.

Hence my focus on installation, rather than diet per se. But that in no way invalidates the dietary information that Earnest and others have offered within the context of information with which to load Sean's mind.

I hope that Sean has come back to read the replies to his request, and continues with the process of self-reorganization, which prompted him to write his initial post.

Stephen
