But calibration can help guide your questioning, and keep you grounded in sensory experience and it can serve to ward off second guessing and getting lost down the wrong paths (mind reading). Or it could help you better test your guesses, and then know how and when to execute your interventions. I once had a trainer calibrate my heart rate from about twenty feet away. I didn't realize what he was up to until I found myself going under rather rapidly, and then he pointed out that he was fluttering his hand in the air in very much the same pattern my heart was beating. He could have gotten anything out of me at that point. Well, maybe not anything, but still... best, JS best, JS |
