Doug,
I don't see Chomsky as so far out either, but I still don't think he's speaking in a language that the opposition -- in the current Zeitgeist meaning most of the population -- can relate to.  Hey, I like his style.  All I'm saying, though we are not supposed to take the NLP Pressups seriously anymore, is "the meaning of your communication is the response you get."  That might be a little impractical sounding in this day and age, but that's exactly what I intend to live by, at least in this context.
