I feel JG and RB were either: 1) Presenting a useful lie about their usefulness. or 2) They were wrong in suggesting _themselves_ that "they are more effective than traditional psychotherapists". As an aside: During a discussion of the high suicide rate among doctors a practicing psychiatrist once told me of the popular misconception that people who enter psychiatry are more neurotic than other MDs. Studies, he went on, have proved this to be untrue. |
