Hello, Pete. Yes, I've wanted to learn to write with my offhand for some time. In school, I wrote so much with my left hand that I developed an uneven posture. The hours of notetaking I performed resulted in my left shoulder becoming posturally elevated and forward-rotated. 1. I wrote a lot with my left hand but other reasons than (1) contributed to my body's postural assymetry. I currently do weight-bearing exercises, exercises intended to improve my upper-body's muscle balance and my overall posture . I practice right-handed writing when there's time. I'm consistent with the weight-lifting, but not the handwriting practice. That's OK, because the exercises I'm doing will make the handwriting practice more productive for me. Some day, I'll be comfortable writing with either hand, so that I can alternate my handwriting side as I write. -nj |
