I read an article about the video game report you are mentioning.  You're right- the researcher places too much of an emphasis on the fact that the content of the games involves killing.  And just as a point of clarification; the research is indicating that 'skills' outside of the context of playing the game are increased, not just the skills involved with suceeding at the game.  I'm sure you know this, however there was ambiguity in your original posts.  Thanks
