J Rose,
Okay, I see your points.  I just wanted to point out that the development of the skills may be dependent on a specific neurological context, which involves violence.  The media picked up on this and re-issued the term "kill," which is used by the game manufacturers.  I don't have a problem with this, myself, since I tend not to have ethical biases about entertainment.  But I admit the could have been a better editorial choice in the headline.
