Well, to me that entire point of the epistemology and especially the presentation in Whispering that Carmen and I offered is to provoke people to consider (and hopefully) give up statistical (in the sense of aggregations and averages) living. The only advantage that a cold reader would reap from using a statistical set of facts to begin a reading is to begin the sequence of provocations (in order to have some response from the client that s/he can calibrate). But this is cheap stuff and there are methods much more effective - Mike Mandel (Toronto, Canada) is superb at such "readings" in a stage context and uses an entirely different strategy - no statistical stuff for this man.
