<<<1) When I hear or see a bee or bees my heart rate increases, my hands sweat, my vision blurs and I lose my sense of balance, which is a reaction to my internal representations of a revivified past memory, which I am associated to.  This is a primary state.

2) When I dissociate from that memory, I am creating a different set of representations, in which I am seeing myself react in the above state.  This decreases my perspiration and my heart rate, etc..  You might call this a third position move, but Michael calls it a Meta level move, because the representations he argues are "about" the previous state: a meta state.>>>

If we take the scenario you present where person changes their set of representions so they see/hear  themselves having the phobic response to bees -   you can NAME  it a “meta level move” or you can NAME it a perceptual position shift- does it make any difference what so ever to the outcome of the manoeuvre? You can NAME it anything you like – but the outcome remains the same.

What I do know is you are the first person to present us with sensory based description of a meta state in action. The pattern you describe is a pattern coded a  long time ago. There are no new additions in the process of the pattern, just another name.  On the premise that the sensory based description you provide above is an example of what M Hall describes as the third domain of NLP- Meta States- it confirms to me there is little or anything new being presented just a process of re-naming.
