Hello again Ken, You wrote, "My concern is that any field that so broadens its basic definitions as to make them meaningless, or ignores the fact that some of its achievements come from sources other than the one it, in theory, sees as the basic source may eventually pay a price for fuzzy thinking." I share your concerns, Ken. Further, is this the start of a new thread? This topic is indeed important. It is also relevant (IMO) to what JG/CBSC wanted to see in this forum. I believe it falls squarely under the partition, 'origins and definitions'. I, for one, have fuzzy representations of the distinctions between the meanings of purpose/outcome and intention/meta-outcome among other terms. Perhaps we will one day discuss these? -Pete |
