Todd,

Thank you for taking the time to clarify your original questions.  The additional material, which you provided, is helpful to me.  I appreciate your sharing of your motives for formulating and presenting vague questions in order to satisfy the outcome of eliciting a general and less-leaded response from the model. I especially appreciate your goal of eliciting "the thinking behind his development of some of his techniques (what works what doesn't, where does he start?)".  This goal of yours is one aspect of an eventual NLP modeling project involving Dr.Tabb that I am endeavoring to totally immerse myself within at some point.

I presented similar questions on 11/10 to those which you provided me on 11/12. At this (time)step I have little to share with you by way of immediately useful gleaned distinctions unfortunately. I asked him how he knew which exercise to run when presented with a given case.  His response took the form of a verbal reframe initially.  'Exercise' was reframed into 'process', which led to a content induction of sorts involving the concepts of 'success', 'low self-esteem' and 'survival'.  One's ability to process information in a way which leads to the functional equivalent of an isomorphic relationship between sensory re-creation/behavioral output and original sensory input leads to 'success' and an ever-expanding sense of self worth, whereas one's inability to process information in a way which corresponds to a match of actual sensory input leads to low self-esteem and eventual identification with that low self-esteem.  He introduced further content (albeit interesting content) associated with his view that during the wild days of the history of human-kind, it was necessary for their survival that they processed information quickly and accurately.

He then led me through a V-A block indentification process involving listening to and later acting upon quickly presented digital instructions while maintaining foveal and peripheral visual awareness upon and between his raised index fingers, which were placed approximately shoulder width apart.  The digital suggestions left me feeling quite confused and I apparently indeed evidenced a V-A block of sorts, since I do not recall specifically what was said (nor did I successfully complete the process as instructed)....when I say 'go' look at my right hand look at my left hand 'go' when I say_ (or something to that effect).

I also learned that that his processes (PST processes) were applied by him with great success to TIA (stroke) victims, agoraphobics and to individuals evidencing slow reading rates (250-400 WPM).  He has yet to codify his discoveries in book form, but apparently is working on releasing a CD-ROM of his work associated with reading. I would encourage you to attempt to contact him via the e-mail address provided in WITW if you are interested in either unadulterated versions of what I wrote above or in securing reponses from him to questions which you might continue to have.  I am, of course,  interested in reading of your discoveries.

-Pete
