Apologies for jumping in on the topic but is it really surprising to feel two states or competing emotions at the same time? Our bodies are multi-functional organisms which do several things at the same time. You might only be able to THINK about one of those at any given momment, but that doesn;t mean to say that they are not taking place.
Also, there is a big difference between the concept of anger and that of trust.  One is a human construct and rationalisation, the other is something innate to animals and humans alike.  You do not feel trust in your body, but you cetainly feel anger all over your body.
