Mary, First of all thanks for the kind words. I'm not the best person to ask; however, I would think the way to start would be to develop your own rapport skills, and if you believe NLP and New Code NLP would be of use, make yourself a catalyst for those changes to occur by creating the right context. If you haven't gotten training, yourself, you could, or try to get someone on your staff to do so and see if you or that person can promote what ever change is needed. There is someone I met at a training who who works on staff at a psychiatric facility of some sort in New Jersey, and I believe he finds NLP and Ericksonian techniques especially useful in crisis interventions. I don't believe he is a medical, psych or social worker, but someone who has a role interacting with patients in some capacity. Which hospital do you work for? I live in Brooklyn and work in Manhattan. I'm not a therapist (not definitively, anyway), but I do know some people who are pretty good at this stuff, or who have contacts with some people who do some pretty amazing work. best, JS |
