Count, I never get a "desired result," I get new information. I might like or not like what I come up with, but it always gives me a new starting point, or frame of reference. I don't remember not getting that as a result, though it's not a process I run everyday, either. As for getting stuck in 2nd or 3rd pos, I believe people tend to do that all the time. If you run through the DSM III or IV, you run across things like schizoid personality disorder (a tendency to get stuck in 3rd?), narcissism (stuck in 2nd?), and sociopathy (stuck in 1st?). At the risk of over-generalization, don't we all (well, most of us anyway), display these characteristics now and then? best, JS |
