Hi Sean "golfer goes through some tough internal/external turf war(s) to me." This is a description of modeling, and fine tuning. In actuality the triple descriptions are not wholely conscious, they can involve unconscious mappings and responses too.. But you need to be aware of the entire system you are modeling so these distinctions become available to you. "Why so much outside beyond self? Why not gang up on a solid direction become more internally aware from each shot and then add more qualifueled adjustments/responses?" This is what I'm presupposing is important for the modeling process in 2nd position. If you model only the internal (constructed representations) behaviour you are missing important aspects of the arc..i.e. the person's response to external stimuli...and secondly (conveniently) your need for it - feedback..to learn what works and doesn't work. Once you have an effective model and one that you can make explicit it becomes much more elegant, your attention goes only where it needs to go, and many activities become automated. |
