Martin I had a sense when reading your earlier post that your comments were not directed at me or any other any trainer directly. You are correct in saying that your post included comments of the most generalised kind. While broad generalised statements serve a purpose to instigate discussion, broad generalisations do not stimulate the quality discussion you might want when your outcome is to promote NLPsychotherapy to wider interest level. Hopefully you can think of some specifics for your community to get the outcome you seek. (It might be good idea to define what specifically NLP Psychotherapy is and what it isn't on your web site. I do happen to agree that in "general" the focus on current NLP leans far too much in the direction of training courses and too little in the direction of working groups seeking new application, and new models. You wrote "We have professional recognition due to the hard work of a small number of people and yet as NL Psychotherapists I feel that any kind of community is as yet threadbare." You obviously keen to change the above, my question is what else can you do to move your community from it's threadbare condition, to one of high levels of quality activity. You wrote " In the meantime I'll try and focus my thoughts a bit more to define a more specific outcome - we may or may not agree with it but at least we -you, I, others - will know what I am getting at." The above will work well, as once you are explicit in stating your outcome and know exactly what you want, any ongoing discussion whether in agreement or not will assist you in considering further possibilities and in clarifying your thinking.
