Hi, Eric. You wrote: (1) "Your comment that Buddhists have ethical guidelines is correct..." Yes. You wrote: (3) "Comments?" I already made my comments about a common approach to Buddhist philosophy. I have a question for you, Eric. My question is: (4) Do you have an interest in mixing a sect of Buddhism with therapy? If you answer affirmatively, then I'd be interested in your answer to the question: (5) what particular sect of Buddhism do you want to mix, and how do you practice it, and plan to practice it? There's lots of ways to practice a religion, or your own version of it, and nothing about any philosophy forces you to do what other people find the philosophy gives them reason to do. Frankly, if what you want is to meditate a lot, I think you're planning to waste your one and only life. BTW, I am not a Buddhist. -nj |
