Jim Thanks for the description: several things occurred to me reading it: 1. What is the purpose of such a state? I recognize that experience is its own reward however I suspect, given the emphasis given to achieving such a state, that there is some point to it. Is this accurate from what you know? And what might that be? 2. It is clearly NOT a know-nothing state as the characterization of the spinal column as overwhelmoing bliss implies lots of f2 evaluation. Finally, a question for you about this phenomenon: is I were to achieve this state (SAMADHI) with these (and other specific) physiological features through a hypnotically induced altered state (using, say, Ericksonian patterning) would it be acceptable to the authorities in this tradition?
