Carmen and John, in your response to Gene you write that any second position will be non-reflexive. "Second position is simply the ability to put yourself in the perceptual position of the other. Thus, any second position will be non-reflexive. Here we are assuming that by reflexive, you are referring to self awareness - a property required by 3rd position." If a person sees and listens to herself from second position, why does that not count as it being reflexive? All the best, mrX |
