Hi Carmen and John, I'll happily attempt to put theory into practice! Bearing in mind the recent miscommunications you mention, I thought that modelling/diagramming a conversation (where a person uses the 3 Perceptual Positions) might be a useful example - though I may be biting off more than I can chew! :-) I'll have a first stab over the next few days and mail you the initial results (please email me if you want me to send to an email address other than the one you have used on this forum) For anyone not familiar with State Diagrams, there's a nice example (using an ATM machine) at http://www.smartdraw.com/resources/examples/software/uml2.htm and some good basic tips at http://www.ertin.com/pr_state_diagrams.html Regarding the GEM and GLIF formats, I think I expressed my thoughts clumsily. I wasn't thinking they would be used "as is" for NLP documentation, but rather as a source of ideas - an example of current "best practice" from another field. Best wishes Cheers, Jon |
