Peter, Oh thanks for your keen vision and wisdom. You're right, I'll quit now... I for one will agree that NLP techniques don't work as easily as people often claim they do. The truth is NLP is harder to master than people think. And the hardest pieces are the most basic things you learn in an intro or practitioner course, just as John says, rapport and calibration. I've witnessed some pretty amazing things, and I've been lucky enough to have had some good results myself, but they have been inconsistent. Nobody here needs to prove anything to you, if you won't try them yourself, without sabotaging your attempts with the desire to prove the opposite. And I'd like to point out, that if you can't spell, how are you expected to get the pattern sequence right to begin with? What John said, is that certain things that were implicit in the old code needed to be made explicit in the new code, ie setting up unconscious signals. That would make the results more consistent. Again, these things aren't all that easy to do, and need lots of practice, and lots of work on oneself as well. And whoever said one technique would work for everything? One thing may go so far, but there's always another technique from the toolbox, or something invented at the moment, based on one's training. And I'd be skeptical first of all of the Skeptic's Dictionary. They have about one song in their repetoire, and it's a predictable top forty. best, JS |
