I do agree with Peter there are numerous NLP practitioners out there not gaining the results that NLP promotional materails claim. I personally have worked with people with phobias that have worked with many NLP practitioners and hypnotherapists to rid themselves of there phobic responses and recieved either very little or no help at all. Late last year I worked with a person that described the classic phobia screen technique being used with her saying how it had frightened the hell out of her, basically she was checking that I wouldn't ask her to imagine situations that she was phobic of (claustrophobia). This doesn't mean that the screen technique doesn't work. It works superbly. Especially when used at the right time. Anchoring resourceful states - screen technique - collapsing anchors. 60mins thats all it took, had to go slowly clients pay by the hour 40mins insn't to useful. Peter maybe you should watch Paul Mckenna & Michael Breens phobia cure video then go and watch some other practitioners do the same things. NLP can be used in a highly effective way by good nlp'ers same with many things, formula one cars can be made to make amazing times around tracks, I dont suppose I could make it happen, not at the moment anyway. There will always be people not acheiving the desired results with NLP and also many getting the desired results. I guess we dont hear so much from those that have had the desired help they just tend to get on with living life. I am interested Peter how you are in a position to offer John so many people that still have phobias on a pay for results basis. Sincerely I could do with knowing how to come into contact with such people, if I were already a millionaire I would work with them for free. Send some my way I'm sure I'd get results. I risked public humiliation (well thats what some therapist friends said I was risking) before on the tv with a guy scared of crossing water by boat 50minutes work and the right outcome was achieved. I best stop this is starting to sound like advertising. |
