Found in the page before the bibliography and index in the book “Reframing” headed “Note” from which I extract “We fully recognize the great power of the information presented in this book and whole heartedly recommend that you exercise caution as you learn and apply these techniques of a practitioner of NLP, as a protection for you and those around you. It is for this reason that we also urge you to attend only those seminars, workshops and training programs that have been officially designed and certified by Richard Bandler and John Grinder.” This note might have been by the Andreas’. Also John Grinder included a note in the tape set “Tools for Mastery” where by he referred to, if my memory serves me, a test of your “Trainer” for congruency and integration of an “awesome body of information“(my words) by feeling(John please correct me on this since I lost the note over the years). I practice and play in a somewhat different tradition, Japanese version of Chinese medicine, and drawing from that tradition the idea that a freshly graduated or certified as trained practitioner would go out into the market place and teach is absurd. A ten year period of one on one contact with clients and a master teacher forms the basis of a well-grounded and well formed experience possibly qualifying that person to teach. I know of at least one “trainer” that after 4 years of training formed his/her own company to train both practitioner, master practitioner, and trainers training. Could some practice and contact with a senior (in the field) contribute to congruency and integration? How much? What amount of time? Could all the problems mentioned in this thread be solved by congruency and integration and training by a well seasoned and tested trainer? ZZ |
