kc First of all, this is not my work - rather it is the product of an extremely rich collaboration with Carmen Bostic St. Clair. Second - I recommend that you read the Epistemology section carefully once again. The point that you will find elaborated there is that given the epistemology presented in Whispering the issue of objectivity is moot - in other words, given a set of neurological transforms whose contribution to the data stream that it processes are not explicit and through which all information arriving from the external world must pass to arrive at the first point where we can gain access (FA) to such information, there is literally no possibility of objectivity if by objectivity you mean an unfitlered, unbiased, isomorphic mapping from the external world to FA. There is a second issue you raise - that of the value of having multiple sets of filters - and this is precisely what occurs each time you master a new skill. Castaneda's concept of a warrior as someone who collects descriptions (sets of filters) is useful in this context. Finally, you mention, "..But do we have enough time John to keep points, reposition ourselves mentally and..." Of course, we can - it simply requires disciplined practice. All the best, John |
