Hi Martin, You asked: "If this still puts NLP epistemology in flatland, how can we enrich it so that it is more embracing of human experience?" UK NLP trainer Peter McNab (www.excellenceforall.co.uk) has worked extensively with Wilber's material and integrating it with NLP... and sits on one of the Integral Institute panels. He has taken the all quadrant/all level approach and mapped across elements of NLP.... The key to Wilber is that a truly integral approach incorporates both interiors and exteriors (left and right) plus individual and group (upper and lower) across at least 8 levels. None of the quadrants or levels are privileged...all are equally viable perspectives. NLP in general, and WITW in particular seems to privilige Upper Right (behavioural, external calibration etc) over the other quadrants. WITW does not deal with values, soul or spirit other than to classify them as post F2 constructs/epiphenomonen which change as a result of FA manipulation. Wilber's Integral Psychology brings a lot of this together nicely... ATB Lewis. |
