Hi Lewis, Thanks for the stimulating message. This can become a really rich exchange. When you say that WITW seems to privilege Upper Right, are you referring to epistemology or practice? From my standpoint, WITW advocates combined use of skilled meta-model questioning (for conscious communication) with external calibration (for unconscious communication) to fully capture the message that belongs on the Upper Left quadrant. In other words, engage all your resources to REALLY capture the communication that's coming your way as opposed to limiting ourselves to language to apprehend the message. That's hermeneutics on steroids! As far as values, soul or spirit, I only find that Grinder and Bostic St Clair request that we specify those nominalizations. It's OK if we refer to them as a class of experiences, but we must be rigorous in our specification. If we say that "a" soul or "a" spirit exists, then we enter the poetic/hallucination domain, which is fine to do as long as we're aware of it. Your message led me to ask myself about potential fields of experience that exist beyond the senses, and thus that can't really be described. For example, I'm starting to feel more and more that there's a substance that permeates me and everything around me, an emptiness that is actually really full. Some have called it ether. There is no way for my senses to apprehend it (or is there?) and yet I'm certain that it's there. How? Are there other sensory modalities that we could add to the VAKOG bag that we already have? I really can't imagine a better mapping than the FA, F2 and post-F2 classes offered in Whispering. But if we add sensory modalities, we can definitely change the nature of FA... What do you think?
