Interesting to see a bit of thinking here along these lines. It seems to me that the practice of Non-Identification is inherent in all of Applied NLP. Meaning that it is Level Three Thinking ala Bateson. At least it means that to me. The metaphors of Non-Identification and of LVL III Thinking. Embodying them... I can teach you how to do an enormous amount of what I know how to do without words. By simply having you perform physical actions whose successful performance will light up just those circuits that will allow you to do the skills I teach. An example is www.quantumtouch.com is a form of healing facilitation that I am very good at doing. And teaching. This can be taught without words. At least by me, that is. It is straight Grinder, this physicalising the metaphors.

Curious to read any thoughts on the more direct embodiment of these metaphors... What physical actions will light the circuity to achieve Non-Identification? Without the framing, of course. Yes and no. I get that you can get to these rather well that way. I do monkey-see very well and really enjoy it. As long as I do not get called upon after the fact to teach it to others in words...

In other words, I am seeking explicit exercises other than the ones that I am familiar with to achieve greater flexibility in Non-Identification. Skip the LVL III Learning for the moment...

Any takers? E-Prime, the Meta-Model, the Verbal Package, Clean Language and more seem to be interesting paths. I am looking for anyone with the experience of doing these things with actions. Something different that simply shuting off the internal dialogue and using peripheral vision...
