I like the detail of your answers and quotes, and mostly feel I learn something from your posts. We all approach what we read and hear and experience from different directions and that's why a discussion is great. If I decided not to comment on something because I didn't know everything about it, I would never make a comment! :)

Maybe I'm not coming across the way I intend in this (or other posts). The best learning experiences I've ever had were in a class room where everyone sat on the desks, teacher included, and interpretations and ideas came from everywhere, and from varied backgrounds. That's how I approach this.

The quote you gave, gave me a laugh, so I made an even more "is filled" response. For your feedback (as it's difficult to know how others read our posts) I did know you were quoting someone, as I stated, though I assumed that you personally wrote "Korzybski puts it thus...", not that you were quoting Bourland quoting Korzybski.

I still think it's pretty funny, I don't need to research more into this to find it funny :)  I made a joke, sorry it didn't come across that way. I'm not sure what I would gain from reading more into Korzybski, but I suspect I'm better with my current books right now? I'd love to know if there's a gem I'm missing though - seriously!

Anyway, all this takes this thread off topic.
