I DID check. My experience HAS told me that languaging crap like e-priming doesn't provide the psychological experience that is promised by it. And I found out it didn't work BEFORE I decided that it shouldn't. Maybe some other industrious person will follow up on my idea; I'm busy. Your counter-idea has already been done. If you assume some valuable difference in how you language when you e-prime, how do you describe to yourself how you aren't misusing predicates, when you are internally e-priming? It's really hard to find a method to check the veracity and results of your efforts to use e-prime in your internal dialog; you might notice that right away. As far as written work, I think e-priming would force you to leave out a lot of important information. Good luck exploring that hypothesis. -nj |
