Hi Jon,

Thanks for posting some interesting ways of combining juggling with "news of difference and novelty". I'll try them out as soon as I learn something more than the 3 ball cascade!

You asked : "Could you expand a little on how you might use a sliding anchor to "capture" these states."

Standard anchoring formats apply a VAK cue (internal or external) just as the induced state reaches a plateau. Sliding anchors start well before this as the state is in an acceleration phase. For example you can touch one part of your forearm at the beginning of the state and slide your finger 5-10 cm up your arm as it intensifies. This tends to make the state more powerful and give it direction. In the "breakthrough state" example you could revivify a previous experience, set the sliding anchor and trigger it once you've stepped back into a "problem" context.

Sliding anchors can be set visually by gesture and auditorially by changing tone etc. You can use them to turn states both up and down - overtly and covertly. They are great fun to experiment with.
