Hello, Matt. If the propositions: (1) one's unconscious were factually ethical (2) your clients suggestions to you determine that you're ethical are always true, then you'd definitely be an ethical salesman. But, just given the possibility of propositions (1) or (2), without a gaurantee of their factuality: (3) your sales behavior might not be ethical. Given the truth of proposition (3): (4) you need to find an ethical system, a system that lets you satisfy your needs as a salesman, but also lets you treat your sales client as appropriate. Just given the truth of proposition (2): (5) for you, being an ethical salesman means that you don't negotiate with your client, but rather it means that you just fulfill your client's wishes. But, given the truth of (5), when you sell, you let your client misuse you. Do you think that's ethical? Me neither. Did I misinterpret you? If so, then I'd appreciate a reply from you, a reply containing direct answers to the questions of my earlier post. -nj |
