Michael,

Thanks for your reply.

I am afraid that you made an error in your shift to second position relative to my original post. Please notice that I did not say or imply that 3rd position is disassociated from kinethetics. I did say:

"...a meta-state is NOT a disassociated 3rd position nor is it a set of content driven information (although I would agree that meta-PROGRAMS fit that category)."

I would argue that 3rd position, by definition, is disassociated from the kinesthetics of 1st and 2nd positions. When cycling through the positions in order, clean disassociation from 2nd position K's is a requirement for 3rd position. When moving from a primary state to a meta-state, this disassocaition is neither a requirement nor an expectation (although is may be a result).

For example, what does it feel like to shift from a state of curiosity to one of playful curiosity?
