Spike The most common ones I run into are presuppositions and embedded commands. I hear them, I laugh and either walk on by or respond with a double bind - one constructed as an extension of the presupposition or embedded command used by the person involved wittingly or unwittingly. Typically, if the original attempt at non-ethical influence was intentional, I get laughter back; if it was unintentional, I get confusion. John |
