gsm,jg and nj Interesting questions gang. Let me see if I can give it the old college try. In the basic alphabet game I played with another, I learned the followed the rules given to me by my coach, 1. start raising my appropriate hand 2. at the same time as raising my hand start calling out the letter posted in front of me 3. then start raising my appropriate opposite leg/knee from my hand simultaneously as I am calling out the letter. As I continued through the game I was getting bored and spontaneously started playing the game backwards or quicker or changing my peg or hand movement. Then after the New Code excercise I found myself developing new rules when a client calls me. Example: lets say I have a client who calls me to inquire about enrolling in my finance progam. I follow a set QUESTION format first etc........Even though I approach each client in a similar rule driven way by asking questions first, I then find myself sequentially without conscious editing finding new ways to respond or react to a clients inquiry/request in more fun or efficient ways similar to what I was doing with the NC game. One thing that popped up was setting state (get em laughing) and anchors (confirnation of compliance in participating in the next step of sending my package back to me) So as I answer for each call (business)or a letter on the wall (new code) I respond off the stimulus with rules predriven before I meet the stimulus but yet spontaneity pops up after the stimul has been met. |
