John, "In other words the brain manufactures vision from what it already knows, some of which is influenced by language. So much for FA, but it was a nice idea. I don't agree with your idea that language always includes a linear, logical relationship to sensual mapping. Quite the contrary. If you observe the way people use it, there is a lot more in common with a phobic reaction than you may have noticed." I think we need some clarity on what FA is.. it includes internally manufactured vision. This is the associated aspects at FA (and the various transforms occuring at the level of representation). In terms of f2 transforms with language.. the language is in reference to FA so there's plenty of scope for language to reflect (via a form of reductive logic) of someone's phobic responses etc.. that are ocurring at FA. I too am interested in the interface between FA and f2, such as the feedforward nature of language and f2 mediated belief systems, and the influence FA may have on f2 transform formation. Best, GSM |
