"Beliefs in terms of complex-equivalences and cause-effect relationships are not the actual see, hear and feel experiences around us." I disagree. Beliefs *are* what you see. Changing beliefs is literally "seeing things differently." It's sometimes only as simple as changing "focus," as anyone who's practiced using peripheral vision might tell you, but unconscious filters can severely alter your pattern creating and recognizing patterns (yes patterns that are needed to create and recognize patterns), and may be affected by the way you habitually scan the environment vertically, horizontally, circular, as well as variations and combinations. These habits will also have a relationship with how you form sentences, or feed yourself, etc.. Everything else (oops, big universal quantifier; that must be a belief!). best, JS |
