I've used the game with contexts in which I might benefit from a better state. Or rather, my attempts aimed at altering a particular state across contexts. For this particular need -- ie state driven -- I found other patterns more useful, ones which begin with the kino's of previous experiences, but eliminate the content and play with the submods until you and your unconscious agree that it would be more resourceful than the undesired state. I guess you might say it is a blend of New Code and DHE that I've worked out and have found useful for myself. For performance-based issues, new code games might be more effective. Something else I've experimented with as an alternative, is doing sort of a mock kata/interpretive dance to my reciting something like Shakespaere. This seems to light up a lot of pathways. Give it a try. As far as the anecdote of the mathematician goes, I really believe that the shift in content is as important as the shift in process, though the content may only be important as an anchor of process. Kinda what Hume was saying about billiards I suppose. best, JS |
